Need HELP looking for.........

Currently a HTT owner and I am seriously thinking of a TT due to set-up issues. I am interested in a 24ft with a slide, queen and bunks. Is there such an animal out there or am I looking at the standard 26fters with slides?? Your help is greatly appreciated!!

RE: Thanks Chuck

What nice things everyone has said - all too often folks point out the negative. I too have benefited several times from everyone's advise. I recently went TT shopping with my sister and the salesman was "impressed" with my knowledge. I gave this forum the credit. My neighbor recently joined the TT ranks. One evening all the neightbors with TT or HTT or PUPS had a cocktail in welcoming them to our world. After late into the evening, several of the neighbors have crowned me "mother-of-camper". I just laughed!!! Again, because of the wide range of brillant folks with fabulous advise given on this forum, I do feel well informed about camping, HTT's, and TT's. And the knowledge keeps coming!!!!Thanks everyone!! Have a great weekend!

RE: Bunk Vinyl Tearing away from frame

Here's the deal. I have an '04 Coyote with the same problem. I did get new tent ends and I put several self-tapping screws on the corners after install was completed. The new tents are SOOOOO nice. They are not nearly as thick as the old ones and suprisely they where a piece of cake to install. I did mine with two 9 year olds. Took about 1.5 hrs. Call KZ, they are very helpful. Good Luck. :)

RE: Used Hybrid "AS IS" from dealer

IMO - if they want to sell you the trailer, they will at least give a 30 warranty. Tell them "no-deal" without. If they are willing to risk a sale due to a 30 day deal, there might be something wrong. Also, do a search on the make and model you are looking at. It might give you some bargining power.

RE: Okay! That was a breeze - replacing tent ends

My HTT is an '04 and they did come right from the manufacture. The new ones did have velcro and snaps, however, I don't have either. Mine where screwed in with self-tapping screws. I removed everything and screwed it back. Like I said, I did put more than probably necessary on the inside just to make sure I wasn't going to run into the same problem. And my assistants are 9 yr old girls. One mine and the other 'thinks' she is mine!! LOL LOL We pretended to be in surgery (I am a nurse) and they acted like my first assistant and surgical tech. We did have a few grins over "drill", "Screwdriver", and the topper was when my daughter said "are you ready to close?" As far as photo's, I will work on it. It is all closed up and packed for next weekend.

Okay! That was a breeze - replacing tent ends

I have been on a mission for about a year with K-Z to get them to replace my bunkends which have been in the catagory of "ripped". After several phone calls, a letter, and too many emails with pictures to even mention, the tent ends arrived last week. Installing them made me very nervous, however, I called a local (Jayco) dealer and got great advice from the service manager. I then called a K-Z dealer and was impressed by the advice. Even though I was quoted $144 to install, I was on another mission to install them myself. ($144 bucks goes a long way in the gas tank!!). Taking the old ones off was a piece of cake! Installing the new ones required me to take off a couple of trim pieces and put a few more self-tapping screws in. They turned out FANTASTIC. And what an improvement in fabric. The new ones are sooooo much softer and a lot easier to work with. (Opps I forgot, the front shepards hook needed a new hole). All-in-all, took about 2 1/2 hrs with two assistants. They are 9yrs old!! It is all done, and I have $144 in my pocket. It really was a breeze!! All set for a major Labor Day Weekend shakedown!!!

Converting folding table legs to tube style

Since I am fresh out of mods, the latest being my glide out shelves which are AWESOME!!!!, I am ready to take on the weak, useless, unstable and undesirable folding table. I would love to leave the thing up during travel and figured converting it to the tube style leg would work. Has anyone done this and how difficult is it. If I can design, make and install 4 glide out shelves, I'm think'in this is a no brainer!! LOL LOL (I really think I am all that and a bag of chips ha??) Any suggestions would be great!!

RE: My experience with KZ

Can't go into deltails at this time, however, KZ has accommidated me without hassle. It has taken a few months, but was assured yesterday the problem is near completion. They are top-notch in my book and I recommend KZ to anyone that is looking at buying a coach.

RE: Check out my latest Mod

Nice job alpenliter! And the wire baskets would have been a lot easier, however, I looked for 1.5 yrs for one that what long enough. No luck, so I built them myself. Polishnurse - the slide out shelves is the mod....now come on....if you are a nurse, I know you are really really smart! (Because I am one too!! LOL LOL)

Check out my latest Mod

Thanks to a fellow camper, I got the itch to do a little pantry mod myself. It turned out to be a bit more than I expected, however, the results are well worth it. Cost was around $60. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa20/campinmi/IMG_6373.jpg

This is what I made. It also serves as a great place to store the wheel chucks and stabilizer pads.http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa20/campinmi/IMG_4402.jpg

RE: Anyone else with a 2009 Coyote 23CR HTT?

Don't have your model, however, I have a KZ HTT. I am in the middle of a tent end replacement issue and they have been great. I am waiting for delivery on new tents, hopefully tomm. In other words, they are wonderful to deal with. Just call with your problems, and I get they will take care of you ASAP.

RE: Mods to our Hybrid

Great mods!! You have earned your place here!! I am interested in the pantry. We got back from a week long trip a few weeks ago and was complaining about the shelves in the pantry. I am only 5'3" on a good day and can not see what is on the top shelf. My 5'11" 14yr old is getting irritated by me saying "can you get that up there"!! I was thinking 3/4 individual shelves, but like your idea MUCH better. Did you lose a lot of storage space? and what did you put on the bottom to support the glide-out brackets. what kind of brackets did you use? Wood? I think I read birch? Thanks, and I am wating reply and I am on my way to Home Depot!!

RE: Where is all the HTT

Michigander here and we do have a lot of HTT's. Spent a week up in Cadillac and the state CG consisted of more HTT's then I have ever seen. We are leaving for a week on Saturday for Gaylord, it will be interesting to see what is there.
